Concentrating only on this? Think again!
By: Gere Iverson - MSTv
Its that time again, ya'll! The New Orleans Jazz Fest begins next weekend and runs into the following one. (April 26-28 and May 2-5) But, even though most people are concentrated on the huge list of music acts, you have to wonder what new yummies will be available while you're music tent hopping.
Festival veterans have their favorite dishes - the ones they eat every year. This year, however, we are issuing a challenge: Try something new!
Food options, like the event itself, seems to grow bigger every year. With the fest now touting about 70 food vendors, you will find something new to taste, try and enjoy.
You might find good candidates among the dishes that are new for 2013 at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival presented by Shell; among them: Cajun shrimp and duck pasta, Berry Black iced tea, crispy chicken wings, fried okra and the yakiniku (Japanese barbecue beef) po-boys.
